There are not so many areas in Mediterranean such as North Dalmatia. Here you can find some of the most unique sights like Krka national park - a natural resource consisting of 7 breathtaking waterfalls and its iconic water cascades which will make your visit to Krka once in the lifetime experience.
Krka is not the only national park in this area. For those who prefer sea over river- national park Kornati is the place to visit. This nautical paradise is not to be missed if sailing along 89 islands and islets sound appealing to you.
Even though it doesn’t have the official “national park” category, nature park Telašćica bay is definitely worth visiting. Placed on Dugi Otok (“Long island”) it is one of the trademarks of Zadar region’s spectacular beauties of nature.
Don’t get confused with thinking North Dalmatia is “only” about nature, there are a lot of cultural heritage to see. Zadar- the region capital is one of the oldest cities in Croatia. Recognizable for Church of St. Donatus and Sea Organ and Sun Salutation - Zadar is vivid and unique place where you can satisfy all your needs.
Zadar is not the only cultural and historical hub in this area. There is one more- a charming city of Šibenik. One of interesting facts about Šibenik is that is located where river Krka flow into Adriatic Sea. But Šibenik is much more: narrow stone streets, medieval fortress, cathedral under UNESCO protection, one of the richest archipelago in Adriatic… What’s not to love?
